To meet all requirements of safe manning, many education related data should be saved and checked. As all education data can be saved in the Crewing Module of MXSuite, a schedule can be easily checked for safe manning.
Save STCW data
Every certificate of a crew member that can be saved in the Crewing Module, contains data such as issue date, due date, but also the STCW level and classification. Moreover, a limitation, such as 3000 GT, can be entered here.
Safe manning certificate
Besides the education and certificate data of all crew members on board, the certificate data of the safe manning of the ship are also included. In this way, it can be indicated which ranks should at least be on board. Subsequently, for each rank it can be indicated which education papers or training this rank needs.
Additional requirements can also be entered, such as the requirement that at least one SSO (ship security officer) should be on board. MXSuite then checks whether someone with this certificate is scheduled, regardless of the rank this crew member has.
Controlling safe manning
As soon as a schedule has been made, the MXSuite fleet management software will straight away check whether the scheduled person meets the rank requirements that are set by safe manning. It is checked whether the crew member has all obligatory papers and whether all his certificates are valid up to the end of the scheduled period.
Again it applies that simplicity is the key!
Flexibility
MX Crewing is part of the MXSuite software system. Through the diversity of modules, MXSuite offers a wide range of possibilities to optimise and simplify the management of your fleet.
The need of the user determines which MXSuite modules are applied. That is the power of a modular solution!
